Wade Distler has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services and wealth management industries – most of which has been spent as a wealth advisor. Wade also has vast business knowledge having owned numerous businesses including an accounting firm and real estate holding companies. In this role at 1834, he focuses his practice on serving high-net-worth individuals and families.
Wade chose a career in wealth management partly because he was fascinated by the stock market and investing, but mostly because he witnessed his own parents and family members lacking access to good financial advice. Wade was passionate about filling that role for them – and other families like his – as someone they can rely on and trust for their money matters.
His clients can count on him to:
- Work to truly understand their needs and wishes
- Develop a personalized wealth plan so they can make financial decisions with confidence
- Treat them like family
Prior to coming to 1834, Wade served as a Senior Wealth Advisor for Charles Schwab. He has also taught as an adjunct professor of economics at the University of Indianapolis.
Wade earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Purdue University and has an MBA from Indiana Weslyan University. He also holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS) designations.
Outside of work, Wade’s family comes first in everything he does. One of their favorite pastimes is competing in physical fitness activities together including triathlons and family fun runs.
