Robert Diedrich has spent 45 years in the financial services industry serving the greater Chicago area. He is one of 1834’s more tenured executive advisors having served in leadership positions for First Midwest Wealth Management, an 1834 predecessor company, and currently serving as the market president for Old National, representing the Southwest Chicagoland region. He has broad experience in investment management and trust services enabling him to serve as an ideal senior consultant for integrated wealth management services. A life-long learner, Bob has an MBA from DePaul University, is a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware and holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University.
Having been with 1834 for four decades, Bob has built a reputation as a highly knowledgeable wealth management professional who can counsel individuals, families and institutions through very complex financial needs.
- As a primary relationship manager, Bob spearheads the expanded 1834 team to first, develop a detailed wealth plan that fully outlines clients’ short- and long-term goals and next, package the right strategies to pursue those goals with confidence.
- He stays connected with clients, their families and/or their businesses or nonprofits to provide regular updates on portfolio performance and readily adapt wealth plans as priorities change.
- He can leverage additional subject-matter experts within the company and externally, as needed, to provide expert guidance on specialized wealth management services to ensure no opportunity is missed.
Bob consistently invests his time and talent to benefit his community. He currently serves on many local philanthropic boards, including the District 86 Foundation, Joliet Area Historical Museum, the Illinois Rock & Roll Museum and the Community Foundation of Will County.
