Nicole Birkett-Brunkhorst has more than 15 years of experience in the wealth management industry – a career she chose because she enjoys the personal connection of working with high-net-worth individuals and families to help them navigate financial decisions and important life events. In her role as a Senior Wealth Advisor, Nicole serves as the principal contact point for her clients and prides herself on leading with planning to create personalized wealth strategies that align with their financial aspirations – including philanthropic and legacy goals.

Throughout her career, Nicole has become known for her:

  • Expertise in wealth planning and retirement readiness – to the point where she is often asked by national media outlets to speak on the topic.
  • Focus on developing personalized connections with clients – including the next generation of wealth.
  • Strategic advice on gift maximization structures to individuals and charities.

Prior to coming to 1834, Nicole served as a Senior Wealth Planner for U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management.

Nicole earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in communications from Webster University in St. Louis. She also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® and Registered Social Security Analyst® designations, and has a certificate in personal financial planning from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Passionate about giving back to causes she cares deeply about, Nicole volunteers at Affton Christian Food Pantry, as a dog walker at the Animal Protective Association of Missouri and an election judge in St. Louis County. Nicole is also a living kidney donor and is actively training for the Donor Games (National Kidney Foundation) to help raise awareness for living kidney donors and the quality of life they can have after surgery.

Outside of work, when she’s not volunteering, Nicole enjoys visiting local art fairs, cooking vegetarian meals, walking her two Australian Cattle Dog mixes Pepper and Basil (affectionately known as the spice girls) and being an aunt.
